Call for Improving Parliamentary Ties With Egypt

A senior official said Iran and Egypt need to improve parliamentary relations to help find solutions to regional problems.
“Parliamentary cooperation plays a major role in relations between Iran and Egypt,” advisor to the Parliament speaker, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, said in a meeting with the Head of Egypt’s Interests Section in Iran Yasser Othman on Tuesday, Fars News Agency reported.
The two men discussed the latest developments in the region and the world.
Relations between Egypt and Iran have been strained since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. However, the two sides sometimes interact in multilateral forums.
