Judiciary chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani condemned the Israeli regime’s recent mass killing of unarmed Palestinians who had protested against the US Embassy’s relocation to al-Quds (Jerusalem), and said Washington is behind the murders.
Speaking at a meeting with high-ranking judicial officials in Tehran on Monday, he described the US as the main culprit in the killing and injuring of hundreds of defenseless Palestinians last week and said it created the calamity by giving the green light to the Zionist regime, Tasnim News Agency reported.
“The oppressed people of Palestine, who have been struggled constantly and have been displaced over the past 70 years, are aware that they should continue to resist” he said, adding that the United States also should know that it will no longer be able to cover up the Zionist regime’s crimes and the occupation of Palestinian territories.
Last Monday, tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza rallied near Israel’s border fence to protest a blockade of their territory and the move of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to al-Quds that day.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said nearly 60 Palestinians were killed and more than 2,700 others injured, including 1,360 by live fire.
