Muslim States Should Condemn Israel

The Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called on Muslim states to strongly condemn the recent Israeli killings of defenseless  Palestinians in Gaza, adding that the US and some western countries are complicit in the Zionist regime’s pattern of crimes. Addressing a Quranic meeting late Thursday, the Leader decried the Zionist regime’s killing and injuring of hundreds of Palestinian men, women and children on Monday. “Some people complain why the US does not take a stance against it. The US and some western countries are complicit; do you expect them to oppose it?”, Tasnim News Agency quoted him as saying. Ayatollah Khamenei deplored some Muslim countries’ silence on the killings, and said, “It is the Muslim states that should take a stance against it (the massacre of Palestinians).” Muslim states are the ones that should rise up but they do not because they have distanced themselves from the Quran and do not believe in holy book, he told the meeting.  “By God’s grace Palestine will be freed from the vicious enemies. Al-Quds (Beit-ul-Moqaddas) is the capital of Palestine and the US and its minions cannot do a damn thing against the truth and the divine tradition regarding Palestine,” Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
