President Hassan Rouhani’s special envoy has arrived in Ankara for talks with President Recep Tayyib Erdogan. The president's chief of staff, Mahmoud Vaezi, is in Turkey and was to confer with the Turkish leader on Wednesday night, Tasnim News Agency reported. During the meeting  he will convey the president’s message to Erdogan. Back in 2017, officials from Iran and Turkey signed a roadmap for the development of two-way cooperation in various security fields. The latest meeting comes at a time when the US pulled out of the historic 2015 international nuclear deal. Erdogan has condemned the US decision, vowing to continue working with Tehran in key sectors. In April the two countries started implementing an agreement to use their national currencies in bilateral trade.
