The Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei visited the 31st Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) on Friday. During the one-and-a-half-hour tour of the exhibition, Ayatollah Khamenei visited 50 pavilions and was briefed by publishers about their activities, Tasnim News Agency reported. Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Abbas Salehi accompanied the Leader. In a short speech, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the importance of reading books and its need and necessity for people from all walks of life, the youth in particular. The TIBF opened on May 1. Publishers and suppliers from 53 countries are present at the fair with Serbia as special guest.
