A senior lawmaker has responded to Israel's claims about Iran's undeclared nuclear facilities, calling them "ludicrous" and material for "a pure comedy". The International Atomic Energy Agency is the only official authority to verify Iran's nuclear activities," Hossein Naqavi Hosseini told ICANA on Sunday. He pointed to the baseless nature of Israel's claims, adding, "If anyone has intelligence showing that Iran owns nuclear facilities outside IAEA surveillance, they should send it to the agency." Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Tel Aviv had obtained "half a ton" of secret documents which show Iran has clandestine nuclear activities. He said the 55,000 pages and 55,000 electronic documents had been taken out from an archive in the Shoorabad district in south Tehran. When asked if Iran has nuclear activities in Shoorabad, Naqavi Hosseini said, "We have no nuclear facilities in any district outside IAEA surveillance."
