Yemen Responsible for Diplomat’s Safety

Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has dismissed as “unacceptable” the report that the Iranian diplomat, who was kidnapped in Sanaa in July 2013, is being held in a prison in Yemen, saying the Yemeni government is responsible for the safety of the diplomat.

“What has been communicated to us by Yemeni officials and security service does not match this news,” he told the Mehr news agency on Tuesday.

He also reiterated that Nour-Ahmad Nikbakht is in good health.
