Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a meeting with Brazilian President Michel Temer on Tuesday. Speaking in the meeting in Brasilia, Zarif pointed to the current level of bilateral trade between the two sides and called for renewed efforts to expand economic relations and strike a balance in bilateral trade, Fars News Agency reported. Zarif also stressed the need for removing banking obstacles, calling for the use of national currencies in bilateral trade. Temer voiced Brazil’s interest in expanding relations with Iran and developing cooperation in advanced technologies, and called for exchanging delegations and increasing contacts between the two sides.
