French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that Paris has been taking action to put a stop to Iran’s continued development of ballistic missiles.  “France is taking action against ballistic activities by Iran in the region together with its partners, the UK and the US,” he stated at the annual dinner hosted by the CRIF, an umbrella group of French Jewish organizations, Ynetnews reported.  Macron added that he holds “long conversations” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in this regard.   He also emphasized that “the security of Israel is not a subject of negotiation” and stressed that he favors dialogue “with everyone, including with Iran”.  Iran says its ballistic missile tests are part of its conventional defense program and are not a violation of the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, under which it agreed to curb its nuclear program in exchange for an end to certain sanctions. Tehran has also ruled out any negotiations over its missile activities.
