Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif sent a message to his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi on Sunday over the recent deadly crash of an Indonesia AirAsia passenger jet, expressing sympathy with the Indonesian people and government and the families of the people who lost their lives in the incident. “The tragic crash of the AirAsia passenger jet which left a number of Indonesian nationals dead upset me and the Iranian nation. I extend condolences to you and the friendly and brotherly Indonesian government and express sympathy with the bereaved families and ask God to bless the deceased,” the foreign minister said, according to a press release.
