    Israel Targeting Tehran-Moscow Relations

Israel is “desperately” seeking to rally the world against Iran and aims to undermine the relationship between Tehran and Moscow, says a lawmaker.  “The Zionist regime is seeking to align others against Iran out of desperation and will spare no effort to prevent Iran’s progress,” Abolfazl Aboutorabi told ICANA in an interview published on Saturday, in reference to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent trip to Moscow.   Russia is Iran’s “strategic partner” and that is why Israel wants to harm the relations between the two countries, he added.  Netanyahu met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 29 for talks covering the Syrian conflict and Iran’s role in the Middle East.  Netanyahu claimed that Iran is trying “to turn Lebanon into one big missile site, a site for manufacturing precision missiles against … Israel. This is something we are not prepared to tolerate,” Fox News reported.  Aboutorabi said Iran’s advisory role in the region is in coordination with the governments of the countries concerned, including Syria and Iraq.
