The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps arrested several members of the self-styled Islamic State terrorist group in western Iran on Saturday, the IRGC's official news website reported. Iranian security forces clashed with 21 fighters who had been placed under surveillance after entering the country through its western border, according to a statement published on Sepah News. Most of the militants have been arrested, the report said, adding that the clashes continued in the area. Last June, the IS terrorist group carried out attacks at the Iranian parliament in Tehran and the mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, south of the capital, which killed at least 18 people and wounded dozens.
