The sixth congress of the society of the devotees of the Islamic Revolution was held in Tehran on Thursday, IRNA reported. In the meeting, new members of the central council of the principlist group were elected by a majority vote for a two-year term. The society was established in 1996 by some combatants who formerly fought in the campaigns which led to the 1979 Islamic Revolution or in the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.
