Hamas Hails Tehran's Stance on Quds

A top official of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has sent a letter to Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, praising Iran's stance on Beit-ul-Moqaddas.  Ismail Haniyeh, the chief of Hamas political bureau, said in his letter that the Palestinian nation praises Iran's "unflinching and valuable" positions on the issue of Quds, Press TV reported on Thursday. He thanked the support offered by the Iranian nation and the guidance provided by Ayatollah Khamenei for the resistance movement. He pointed to the "dimensions of the big conspiracy" by global hegemonic powers against Quds and the people of Palestine, which he said were aimed at taking down the Gaza Strip as "the fortress of resistance" and terminating the battle against the Israeli regime. Haniyeh described US President Donald Trump's decision to declare Quds the "capital" of Israel as a step toward disarming the resistance and removing the impediments to normalization of Arab-Israeli relations.
