The deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs held a meeting with UAE Minister of Culture, Youth, and Social Development Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Fars news agency reported. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Iranian and UAE officials hold close views on the campaign against terrorism and hold regular consultations on various regional issues. He said leaders of the two countries want enhanced bilateral relations, adding that increased cooperation between Tehran and Abu Dhabi can positively affect the situation in the region. In addition, he said in view of the “critical situation” in the region, holding consultations can be beneficial for the two countries. The UEA official, for his part, said the conditions in the region necessitate “sincere efforts” by all countries to help find a way out of the current situation.
