Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Behrouz Kamalvandi rejected recent comments by US President Donald Trump about the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers and said the country would not allow foreigners to have access to its military sites. Speaking to state TV on Sunday, Kamalvandi rejected conditions set by Trump for the US to stay in the nuclear agreement and said the issue of access to Iran’s military sites is basically not included in the UN nuclear agency’s safeguard agreement, the Additional Protocol, and the nuclear agreement, Tasnim News Agency reported. There were some cases of inspection of Iran’s military sites such as Parchin in the past, he said, adding that the International Atomic Energy Agency inspected the site and closed the case. Currently, the IAEA has not made any calls for inspecting another military site of the country, the official noted. Kamalvandi emphasized that Iran will not allow access to its military sites again even to the IAEA.
