In a ceremony at the foreign ministry on Tuesday, Iran and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) signed a memorandum of understanding on the construction of power plants, water management projects, health, peace and security, the campaign against terrorism and extremism and the fight on illicit drugs and piracy, ISNA reported. IGAD is an eight-country trade bloc in Eastern Africa. It includes governments from the Horn of Africa, Nile Valley, and the African Great Lakes.
