Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu says it is necessary that Iran be involved in the efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis. "In the process of bringing about a political transition in Syria, no country, including Iran and Russia, should be excluded," ISNA on Tuesday quoted the Turkish foreign minister as saying. In a meeting with Cavusoglu in Tehran this month, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed hope that Tehran and Ankara would be able to resolve their differing views on the Syrian issue through increased consultations.
