A regular meeting of the Joint Commission on the 2015 nuclear agreement is to convene in Vienna, Austria, today to review the deal's implementation, the two sides' commitments and bilateral nuclear cooperation. Formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the international accord was brokered with the six world powers to provide Iran with sanctions relief in return for temporary curbs on its nuclear program.  The meeting of the Joint Commission, a panel of representatives from parties to the action plan tasked with monitoring JCPOA's implementation, will be co-chaired by Helga Schmid, secretary-general of the European Union's foreign policy service, and Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi, ISNA reported. Asked on Tuesday about topics on the meeting's agenda, Araqchi told reporters, "The commission will discuss the nuclear issues, Iran's commitments, cooperation between the two sides in the nuclear sector and the removal of sanctions and related problems."
