President Hassan Rouhani's special aide on ethnic groups and religious minorities said on Friday the Islamic Republic feels obligated to support the "religious freedoms" of minorities. Ali Younesi made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian Christians in a church in Tehran on Friday held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and the start of the new Christian year, IRNA reported.
