The Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appointed former lawmaker Hossein Fadaei to head the Inspection Bureau of his office. The bureau is in charge of dealing with complaints against organizations under the Leader's supervision, among other tasks. Fadaei is a two-time parliamentarian representing Tehran, who was affiliated with the principlist camp. He was also a long-time leader of the principlist-leaning party Society of Devotees of the Islamic Revolution until August. In his decree published by Leader.ir on Tuesday, Ayatollah Khamenei also expressed thanks to the previous head, Akbar Nateq-Nouri, for his "years-long efforts". After serving nearly 28 years, Nateq-Nouri resigned from the post in May to be able to independently endorse the centrist cleric Hassan Rouhani canvassing for votes in a bitterly-contested presidential race. Rouhani was reelected in the May 19 poll.
