Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with South African President Jacob Zuma in the African state's administrative capital Pretoria. At the meeting on Monday, the two sides discussed bilateral, regional and international issues, Tasnim News Agency reported. Also on Monday, the 13th session of Iran-South Africa Economic Commission was held in Pretoria with the two countries' foreign ministers in attendance. It was also attended by South Africa's Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies and business leaders of the two sides. Zarif left Tehran at the head of a ranking politico-economic delegation on Saturday night for a three-nation tour of Africa, which also takes him to Uganda and Niger. The 12th meeting of the joint commission had been hosted by the Islamic Republic in 2015 during a visit by the South African top diplomat.
