Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani says “disunity” and “division” are the most dangerous issues that threaten the Muslim world. He also said the growth of takfiri and extremist groups in the region is the result of the enemies’ constant efforts and planning to create division among Muslims, IRNA reported. A takfiri is a Muslim who accuses another Muslim of heresy.
Rafsanjani added, “The enemies’ fear of unity among Muslims has compelled them to resort to every plot to thwart efforts by prominent figures in the Muslim world to promote unity.”
