The Leader of Islamic Revolution said the annual hajj pilgrimage provides a good opportunity to counter the "highly active and well-equipped" anti-Iran propaganda machine.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was speaking in a meeting with Iranian organizers of this year's hajj, Leader.ir reported.
The Leader said the massive anti-Iran front is heavily using public relations tools to vilify the Islamic Republic and Iran's hajj officials have a big duty to help thwart such activities.
"In the Muslim world, there are numerous elites who want to hear the truth from Iran," he said.
"You should contact people to remove ambiguities and break through the [dividing] fence [put up] by the other side."
In a separate meeting on Tuesday, the Leader met the family of the iconic martyr, Mohsen Hojaji.
Hojaji was a young advisor affiliated with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps beheaded by the self-styled Islamic State terrorist group in Syria early August. His public funeral procession drew massive crowds in Mashhad, Tehran and Isfahan last week.
Speaking in the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei described Hojaji as a symbol of "the revolutionary young generation".
