A funeral procession for an Iranian military advisor who was decapitated by the self-styled Islamic State terrorist group in Syria last month is to be held in Tehran on Wednesday.
In a statement on Sunday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps invited the people to participate in the funeral procession for Martyr Mohsen Hojaji, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement on August 31 received Hojaji’s body from IS based on a ceasefire deal between the two sides.
The transfer of Lebanon’s captured soldiers and two martyrs, as well as Hojaji’s body, took place after the buses carrying IS militants and their families arrived in the ancient city of Palmyra in Homs Province.
Hojaji was taken hostage by the terror group near the Iraqi border on August 7 and was beheaded two days later.
