Naval Flotilla Docks at Omani Port

The Iranian Navy’s 47th flotilla berthed at Oman’s port of Salalah on Tuesday in the final days of an overseas mission that has lasted nearly two months. The flotilla, comprising Alborz destroyer and Bushehr warship, made a port call at Salalah after sailing in international waters for 52 days, Tasnim News Agency reported. According to the flotilla’s commander, Rear Admiral Peyman Jafari Tehrani, it has tracked 1,715 oil tankers and trade vessels as well as 314 military squadrons of other countries during its mission in the high seas. The 47th flotilla’s operational zone involved mainly northern parts of the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden.
