Arab Ties

A senior security official says Iran seeks enhanced ties with regional Arab states and supports every effort aimed at helping resolve the challenges facing Arab countries, including Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. Ali Shamkhani also said Iran has “good interaction” with the Persian Gulf Arab states, IRNA reported on Saturday.   In addition, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said some Arab states take measures that go “beyond regional equations”, expressing hope that they would revise their approach. Elsewhere, he said, “We have shown that if any country seeks to take any action to undermine Iran’s national security, it will receive a firm response.”
