A member of the Combatant Clergy Association told the Fars news agency on Wednesday that the principlist group plans to hold a major congress next month. Jafar Shojuni said members of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom will also be invited to the meeting. He said Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhedi Kermani, who has recently been elected chairman of the association as successor of the late Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani, will deliver a speech to the gathering.
In addition, he said the meeting will not discuss the next parliamentary election in 2016.
