The presidential chief of staff highlighted the importance of the Conference on World Against Violence and Extremism, which was held in Tehran on Tuesday and Wednesday, saying the conference helped the participants gain a “common understanding” of the root causes of violence and extremism, IRNA reported on Wednesday. Mohammad Nahavandian said President Hassan Rouhani’s proposals to address the wave of terrorism in the world, which were made in his speech to the conference, can help improve coordination and strengthen “common resolve” in the international campaign against violence.
