Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ebrahim Taherianfard praised bilateral relations between the two countries as “growing” and said media outlets can play a major role in promoting the two neighbors’ ties in diverse areas.

Speaking at a recent meeting with managers of media outlets in Ankara, Taherianfard highlighted bilateral and regional cooperation in various spheres, the economy in particular.

“The current volume of trade between Iran and Turkey amounts to $11 billion and the trend is moving toward the target for $30 billion anticipated by the presidents of the two countries.” The envoy said, according to Tasnim News Agency.

He described the role of the media in the two countries in helping boost bilateral relations as important and said the media have a major role in shaping public opinion in line with efforts to improve two-way relations.
