Report on US Message Denied

The Foreign Ministry denied a report by a Kuwaiti newspaper that the US has sent a message to Iran through Russia warning Tehran of any harm to American soldiers in Iraq and Syria. Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Saturday denied the report in Kuwait's Al Rai newspaper about the alleged message, Tasnim News Agency reported. The paper claimed that Washington has threatened to attack Iranian military bases inside the country if American troops in Iraq and Syria are harmed by Iranian forces. Iran has been providing its allies, Iraq and Syria, with advisory military support in the fight against terrorist groups and foreign mercenaries. Iranian forces have been dispatched to the two war-hit Arab countries at the request of the governments in Baghdad and Damascus.
