Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei paid a visit to prominent cleric Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi at a Tehran hospital on Saturday. Ayatollah Khamenei was informed of the course of treatment and prayed for Shahroudi's wellbeing, according to the Leader's official website. Born in Iraq, the 69-year-old Ayatollah Shahroudi is mostly known for his 10 years as the judiciary chief, from 1999 to 2009.
