IRGC Not to Support Any Presidential Candidate

A high-ranking commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said the force will not support any candidate in the May 19 presidential election. Deputy IRGC Commander for Political Affairs Rasoul Sanaei made the statement in Tabriz on Sunday, IRNA reported. Six contenders cleared to run for president started their campaign activities on April 21. According to the constitution, military entities are barred from interfering in political activities.
