The sixth congress of the Islamic Labor Party was held in Tehran on Wednesday, the Fars news agency reported. Hossein Kamali, the secretary general of the party, Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari, a senior member of the Association of Combatant Clerics, and Alireza Mahjoub, the leader of the Workers' House addressed the meeting. Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani sent a message to the convention, in which he expressed regret that parties do not play their due role on the political scene.
