Armed Forces Will Never Be Confounded

Deputy Commander of the Iranian Army Lieutenant General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan praised the preparedness of the armed forces, saying the forces will never be surprised by any aggressor and will make it regret its acts. “Given the preparedness of the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and other armed forces, they will never be confounded under any circumstances,” Pourdastan said in an interview with Tasnim News Agency on Saturday. “In case of any foreign aggression, the aggressor will definitely regret its action,” he said. Pourdastan pointed to recent wargames staged by the Iranian military and said the main objectives behind them is to warn those who have immature dreams of invading Iran, to boost preparedness and test new defense equipment. The IRGC Ground Force staged massive military drills in central and eastern Iran last week. The Navy launched the final stage of a major annual exercise in the country’s southern waters on Sunday.
