The deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs left Tehran for Muscat on Monday, ISNA reported.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian travelled to Oman to attend a meeting of the Tehran-Muscat strategic cooperation committee.
He was also scheduled to hold talks with high-ranking Omani officials on bilateral relations and regional and international developments. The last meeting of the committee was held in Tehran last Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20.
