New Science, Research and Technology Minister Mohammad Farhadi was inaugurated in a ceremony held in Tehran on Saturday, IRNA reported. The Majlis approved Farhadi as minister of higher education on Wednesday. He was President Hassan Rouhani's fifth candidate for the post. In the ceremony, First Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri praised Mohammad Ali Najafi for competently running the ministry as caretaker for three months.
