Tehran, Beirut Share Views on Region

A foreign policy advisor to the Iranian Parliament speaker underlined that Tehran and Beirut hold common stances on regional issues, including Palestine. "Both Iran and Lebanon believe in the Palestinian cause," Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a meeting with Lebanese Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Qanso in Beirut on Tuesday, Fars News Agency reported. During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional developments, particularly in Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. Qanso lauded Iran for its sincere and resolute positions on supporting the Lebanese nation and resistance of Lebanon and Palestine, as well as Tehran's support for Syria in the fight against terrorism. Earlier this month, Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi in a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri in Beirut underlined that Iran and Lebanon share views on the need for finding political solutions to regional crises.
