A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has commented that it is very difficult to overcome the 35-year mistrust between Iran and the United States, saying the fact that the two sides now hold bilateral talks within the framework of nuclear negotiations is a “step forward”.
“It is natural that it takes time to be able to overcome mistrust,” Nozar Shafiei told IRNA on Thursday. Commenting on the nuclear talks with the major powers, the lawmaker said the negotiations are “critical” and “complicated” because people are very concerned with the issue and there are red lines that must be observed.
