Majlis to Receive JCPOA Report on Monday

A lawmaker announced that the Foreign Ministry’s fourth quarterly report on the implementation of the July 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, will be submitted to parliament in the coming days.
Speaking to Tasnim News Agency on Friday, Mojtaba Zolnour, the head of Nuclear Committee of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, added that as scheduled, the Foreign Ministry will submit the fourth report on JCPOA to the commission on Monday. Zolnour pointed to the second biannual report on the nuclear pact to be submitted to the parliament’s presiding board by the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission and said the report will include issues raised in the previous report of the commission, such as the US failure to fully meet its obligations.
Tehran and P5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain and France, plus Germany) on July 14, 2015, concluded the nuclear deal, which took effect on January 16 last year. The deal terminated all nuclear-related sanctions against the Islamic Republic in return for time-bound curbs on Tehran’s nuclear program.
