A number of foreign military attaches and ambassadors paid a visit to an exhibition of development projects undertaken by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. During the visit, the foreign dignitaries were briefed on the activities and projects carried out by Khatam al-Anbia Construction Base, a conglomerate belonging to IRGC, Tasnim News Agency reported. They visited various booths named Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals, Ports and Coastal Structures, Mines, Construction and Reconstruction of Machinery and Equipment, Information and Communications Technology, Transport and Water and Energy. Ambassadors from South Korea and Azerbaijan as well as military attaches from Syria, Azerbaijan, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Turkey and Venezuela’s charge d’affaires were among the visiting foreign dignitaries. Back in April, the commander of the construction base said the base is implementing 10 national mega projects, the completion of which would take two years if the funds were allocated on time. “Ten mega projects are under construction in the country,” Ebadollah Abdollahi said in a ceremony held in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on April 9.
The construction of these projects has registered an 85% progress, he said at the time, predicting a great development when they become operational.
