Bahrain has welcomed Iran’s willingness to join forces with the international community against the Islamic State (IS), the Gulf Daily News reported on Saturday.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said Iran is an important country in the region and its participation at Monday’s international conference in Paris would be beneficial in the fight against IS.
“Iran’s willingness to help root out IS is something we welcome as other countries that are willing to show up in Paris to draw up the roadmap,” he said on Friday.
