Russian Envoy: Trump Would Help Resolve Syria Crisis

Russia's ambassador to Iran highlighted the two countries' close cooperation in the fight against terror groups in Syria and hoped that the US would also play a positive role in resolving the Syrian crisis under the presidency of Donald Trump. Speaking to Tasnim News Agency in an interview published on Monday, Levan Jagarian rejected claims that Russia is in its talks with the US and Turkey on Syria, reached agreements with them and will impose the deals on Iran. "Those who make such remarks are not aware of the details. We cannot make details of the talks public, but we are transparent with the Iranian side," he said. "We [Iran and Russia] are working very closely and exchange ideas and information with each other."
