Envoy, Azeri Minister Confer on Ties

Ambassador to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh and Azeri Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov underlined the need for broadening bilateral ties in different fields. During the meeting in the Azeri capital Baku on Sunday, Jahangirzadeh and Mammadov explored avenues for bolstering mutual cooperation in political and economic areas, Fars News Agency reported. The two sides also reviewed a proposal to set up a working group with the aim of deepening cooperation between the justice and legal bodies of the two countries, increasing legal efficiency, speeding up settlement of legal and judicial problems and implementing the agreements already reached between Tehran and Baku. Jahangirzadeh said within the framework of the three agreements already signed between Iran and Azerbaijan concerning extradition of prisoners, the transfer of 400 Iranian prisoners have taken place in several phases.
