Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called for vigilance among Muslim countries to thwart the plots of the occupying regime of Israel and its allies to break the resistance of Palestinians.
“Despite attempts by the Zionist regime to incite conflicts aimed at consigning the Palestinian issue to oblivion, this holy land will be liberated through the resistance of the Palestinian nation and groups,” the Leader was quoted as saying by his official website.
“The only way to rescue the holy Beit-ul-Moqaddas is [continuing] resistance and other options would be ineffective and unworkable,” Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday in a meeting with the visiting head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Ramadan Abdullah Shalah.
He hailed a 10-point resistance plan against Israel put forth by the movement, which stresses the importance of continuing resistance and rejecting any compromise with Israelis and censures certain Muslim states for befriending Israel.
The Leader warned of efforts to sabotage the plan, saying, “Definitely, some do not want the plan to become successful, so caution must be taken to ensure that the plan does not remain on paper.”
