Members of the Islamic Coalition Party and the Resistance Front held a joint meeting on Monday to discuss efforts to promote unity among principlist groups, IRNA reported. Secretary General of the Islamic Coalition Party Mohammad Nabi Habibi and Secretary General of the Resistance Front Morteza Aqa-Tehrani described the process of forging convergence between principlists as “positive” and expressed hope that the process would continue.
Principlist groups have started a campaign to achieve unity to be able to contest the parliamentary election in 2016 more efficiently.
