Spokesman for Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said Russia has delivered all parts of the S-300 air defense system to Iran, as both countries have agreed to boost their logistic and technical cooperation.

“The Russian-made air defense system was eventually handed over to Iran despite many ups and downs,” Hosseini was quoated as saying by Fars News Agency on Monday.

“Given the full implementation of the S-300 deal by Russia, there is no need for pursuing the complaint at the International Court of Arbitration over delays in delivery of the air defense system,” he said.

Hosseini stressed that Tehran and Moscow have excellent ties in the military and defense fields.

Iran displayed the first components of the S-300 missile system, including its launcher, imported from Russia in April during a military parade in Tehran.

The first cargo of missiles related to the defense system arrived in Iran in July.

Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan announced in August that the S-300 missiles have been deployed and integrated into the country’s air defense network.
