Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi traveled to Austria on Sunday to participate in the Second International Conference on Nuclear Security, which is to be convened by the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. Heading a delegation, Salehi is scheduled to read out Iran's statement to the conference on Monday, Tasnim News Agency reported. The "International Conference on Nuclear Security: Commitments and Actions" runs in Vienna from December 5 to 9. The first edition was held by the IAEA in July 2013. The conference comprises a ministerial segment as well as a scientific and technical program, which together will provide a timely global forum to discuss current progress and future developments in strengthening nuclear security globally. The ministerial segment will provide an opportunity for ministers to share their national perspectives related to nuclear security and is expected to adopt a Ministerial Declaration, the IAEA's website announced.
