Iran launched a new system on Sunday to produce spare parts for fighter jets and bombers. The system was put into operation in a ceremony attended by Air Force commanders and officials at a base in the southwestern city of Chabahar, Fars News Agency reported. The system is supposed to make Iran self-sufficient in building spare parts for fighter jets. The parts produced by the system had earlier been successfully tested by different Air Force units. Earlier this month, Iran held the Eighth International Aviation Exhibition on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf to display the country's latest achievements in aircraft and aviation tools, systems and equipment industry. In the exhibition, Iran displayed eight models of homemade drones as well as an unmanned indigenous helicopter named Nazzer.
