Greetings to Oman on Nat’l Day

President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday felicitated Oman’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said on the Arab country’s National Day. In a message to Sultan Qaboos, the president congratulated the Omani nation and government on the occasion and hoped for expansion of bilateral ties in all fields in light of the two countries’ fraternal and mutual efforts and cooperation, Tasnim News Agency reported. The Iranian chief executive also wished health and success for Sultan Qaboos and prosperity for the people of Oman. The birthday of Sultan Qaboos on Nov. 18 is annually celebrated by the Omani nation as the country’s National Day. Iran and Oman share age-old and close diplomatic, economic and commercial ties. Sultan Qaboos played an important role in facilitating the early stages of nuclear talks between Iran and world powers, which led to a comprehensive deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in July 2015.
